After four long years, it's finally back. The 2014 World Cup kicks off in Sao Paulo on Thursday afternoon with the opening ceremony (read our primer here) and then the Brazil-Croatia match. We'll be following along with the action starting at 2 p.m. ET and won't leave until well after the final whistle.
This live blog will feature tweets from the Yahoo Sports staff on the ground in Brazil as well as comments from Brooks Peck, Max Thompson and Kevin Kaduk back in the United States. Have a pithy take of your own? Submit it and we'll publish the best. The opening ceremony can be viewed on ESPN3 before ESPN takes over the coverage at 3 p.m.
