Going into the Madrid derby, Cristiano Ronaldo had not scored a goal in his previous three appearances. That might not sound like a big deal to you, me and Fernando Torres, but it was actually his longest goalless drought of the season thus far. So when he finally scored his 13th goal of the season with a typically perfect free kick in the 16th minute, it not only gave his side an early lead in an important match, but it also seemed to really impress Iker Casillas at the other end of the pitch.

As soon as Cristiano scored, the TV broadcast cut to a close-up of Casillas' face as he pursed his lips in stunned bewilderment. Maybe now he'll vote for him to win the Ballon d'Or.
