Barcelona fell behind against Athletic Bilabo 20 minutes in an unusually nervy and rain-soaked match. Cesc Fabregas equalized four minutes later because that's what he does now and the score stayed at 1-1 until an 80th minute Bilbao corner kick resulted in a rare Barcelona goof-up.

After Gerard Pique missed a header off the corner, Eric Abidal nudged it back to him to clear, but the ball took an awkward bounce off Pique's knee and squirted past Victor Valdes to put Bilbao back in the lead. Pique was immediately subbed off and it appeared as if Barcelona were on their way to their first loss of the season.
