Researching one's opponent is always important, especially ahead of a Euro qualifier. So with that in mind, Dutch defender Gregory van der Wiel has prepared himself for the Netherlands' match against Kazakhstan by familiarizing himself with fictional character Borat, who is neither a footballer nor a real person.

Speaking to PowNews, Van der Wiel said, “I only know Borat, I know he’s from Kazakhstan.”
He went on to predict a 4-0 win for the Netherlands, demonstrating a complete lack of respect for Kazakhstan's potassium.
Anyway, if the Kazakhs give the Dutch a scare, you'll know this quote was taped up in their dressing room before the match.
