Pachuca's Dionicio Escalante was a little too eager in his attempt to help a teammate take the ball off of Pumas' Eduardo Herrera Aguirre. So instead of getting the ball, he stomped on Aguirre's leg. And since that kind of thing is frowned upon, Escalante was sent off 34 minutes into Saturday's 0-0 draw. Yet, Escalante still acted like he had no idea why he was being punished.
And to make things even worse for Aguirre, he also got his hand stomped on just after Escalante tried to snap his leg in half. That may not seem sportsmanlike, but maybe it was just to make the leg pain not feel so bad?
