DTotD: Lithuanian teammates fist fight their way to red cards

Dirty Tackle

Lithuanian top flight side FK Dainava Alytus lost 1-0 at home to Banga on Tuesday night, and finished the game with nine men after two of their players engaged in a spot of fisticuffs.

In the 82nd minute, defenders Titas Vitukynas and Deividas Padaigis should have been trying to prevent a Banga attack, but instead they started shouting at one another. Eighteen-year-old Vitukynas then proceeded to headbutt his defensive partner—who is eleven years his senior—before a full-blown fistfight broke out. They were both duly shown red cards, and then had to deal with the fun prospect of being sent off to the same dressing room.

The whole incident is made more boisterous and entertaining by the thrilling '80s cop show music that has been dubbed onto this video. We doth our proverbial cap to you, Lithuanian DTotD video uploader.

This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
