DTotD: Galatasaray’s Albert Riera delivers deliberate groin kick to opponent

Dirty Tackle

Galatasaray visited Antalyaspor in the Turkish Cup on Sunday evening and were disappointed to come away with a 1-1 draw when the home side snatched a dramatic equalizer in the 89th minute.

The defending Super Lig champions, however, were lucky to finish the first half with eleven men. In the 29th minute, Spanish midfielder Albert Riera was bundled to the floor by Antalyaspor Emrah Bassan. Clearly aggrieved at his rough treatment, the former Liverpool star responded from the floor by kicking his aggressor square in the gentleman's lunchbox.

Bassan was left reeling on the floor in pain while Riera's nutshot went unnoticed and unpunished by the officials.
