GETAFE, SPAIN - APRIL 13: Diego Costa of Club Atletico de Madrid reacts after knocking his knee off the goalposts while scoring Atletico's 2nd goal during the La Liga match between Getafe CF and Club Atletico de Madrid at Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium on April 13, 2014 in Getafe, Spain. Diego Costa had to be taken off on a stretcher after scoring his 84th-minute goal in Atletico Madrid's 2-0 win over Getafe. Costa smashed his shin into the post as he scored, causing immediate concern that the team's top scorer had broken a bone. Those fears were eventually squashed and it was revealed that he only suffered a deep gash to his shin. It was still gross, though.

(Consider this your warning before looking any further down this page.)

Here's video of the goal...

Earlier in the match, Costa missed a penalty kick, perhaps because a Getafe fan directly behind the goal was trying to distract him with his bare behind.

Meanwhile, Atletico assistant coach Mono Burgos watched all of this happen while wearing Google Glass on the bench. And that might have been the weirdest part of the match.
