Didier Drogba made his debut in for Galatasaray in the 62nd minute of a Turkish Super Lig match against Akhisar Belediye. The score was 0-0 at the time, but Drogba changed that just five minutes later when he gave Galatasaray the lead by nearly jumping over an outmatched defender to deposit a looping header into the far corner of the net.

Galatasaray went on to win 2-1 thanks to a goal set up by Drogba and Wesley Sneijder in the 70th minute. Drogba is back (in Europe).
