Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 to seal their 23rd Bundesliga title with six matches left to play. Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the match's only goal with a lovely backheel from right in front of goal -- a skillful move that he made to look far too easy, which really sums up what Bayern have done all season.

With a 20-point lead on second-place Borussia Dortmund, Bayern broke their own record by clinching the title after just 28 rounds (they previously clinched it in the 30th round in the 1972/73 and 2002/03 seasons).

After the match, the Bayern players jubilantly tossed manager Jupp Heynckes around before he gets tossed out so Pep Guardiola can take over next season. Yes, it's been established for a few months now, but it bears repeating. The team that just won the Bundesliga title faster than any other team ever will reward their manager by replacing him with someone who has never coached in Germany. Welcome to football.
