Alexis Sanchez came off the bench to score a floating dagger of a goal to help Barcelona beat Real Madrid 2-1 in their first meeting of the season. Neymar opened the scoring in the first half and Real Madrid had nothing but frustration as Cristiano Ronaldo had a clear penalty shout denied in the second half. Gareth Bale only lasted an hour before being put out of his misery and benched. Ten minutes later, Sanchez came on and made it 2-0 with an exquisite chip over Diego Lopez's head in the 78th minute.

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes put in a great performance to keep Real Madrid off the scoreboard with a number of fine saves until Jese finally robbed him of a clean sheet by scoring in added time.

Carlo Ancelotti gets his first El Clasico loss, Tata Martino gets his first El Clasico win and somewhere in London, Jose Mourinho is saying, "See, maybe you shouldn't have been so quick to blame me."

Here's Ronaldo to sum up his evening...
