The Philadelphia 76ers still sit on top of the Atlantic Division and are third best in the Eastern Conference. They've been without the services of 7-1 center Spencer Hawes for 15 of the last 17 games and the word is that they'll need to keep battling without him until after the All-Star break.
"That determination isn't for sure yet, but the odds are that he probably will," team president Rod Thorn said, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We certainly don't want him going back out there until he's ready to play."
The Sixers would love to have the big guy back. With him in the lineup, they've gone 12-2. Without him, they are 8-7.
In the 14 games he's played this season, Hawes is averaging 10.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
