It looks like New Jersey Nets center Brook Lopez will get his wish to play beside power forward Kris Humphries again. Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Humphries, who is getting plenty of extra press these days due to his marital breakup with reality TV star Kim Kardashian, has re-signed with the Nets.
The deal is expected to be for one year and around $8 million, Wojnarowski reports. Humphries should even be suited up for the Nets in the team's preseason game against the New York Knicks Wednesday night.
"Humphries envisioned getting $10 million annually on a long-term contract, but that market clearly wasn't available," Wojnarowski notes. "The Nets have been careful about offering multiyear deals this offseason, choosing to keep salary cap space available for the pursuit of possible free agent Dwight Howard next summer."
The 26-year-old Minnesota native averaged 10 points and 10.4 rebounds per game last year.
