The Dallas Cowboys are going to be looking for a "a veteran cornerback in free agency" to possibly replace 33-year-old Terence Newman, whose tackles dropped from 79 in 2010 to 53 last year, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Sources tell the paper that the main targets for the team once free agency opens on March 13 will be 28-year-old Cortland Finnegan of the Tennessee Titans and 25-year-old Brandon Carr of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The paper notes that Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones "acknowledged" that Newman isn't necessarily done with the team, but that veteran cornerbacks will definitely be on the radar.
