China is reportedly spending $300 million on the Opening Ceremony for the Beijing Games, but they probably regret not budgeting a little more money for security. A Korean TV crew secretly recorded a recent rehearsal for the 2008 Opening Ceremony, defying a reported Chinese edict that threatened seven years of jail to anyone who divulges secrets about the massive extravaganza. That video has now been splashed across the Internet, which sent Chinese officials scrambling to get it pulled until they remembered that it's China and they can simply ban whichever websites they damn well please.
The clip is about two minutes long and shows a number of different scenes from the Opening Ceremony. It's pretty much what you'd expect: Soaring music, dim lighting and lots of Chinese people.
