Look, if you decide to do a figure skating routine to the "Pink Panther" theme, you really don't have much leeway when it comes to wardrobe decisions. You can't go out there wearing lavender or aqua or even black. Nope, you have to find the best pink look you can find and go with it.
German pairs skaters Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy know this. They've been doing the Pink Panther bit for a while now and they went with it for their short program Tuesday in Sochi. Szolkowy even did his best Inspector Clouseau impression.

While the whole thing is a bit cheesy — hey, it's figure skating — it did make for some striking visuals.
It also made things a bit awkward with NBC figure skating analysts Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski.

The judges did like Savchenko and Szolkowy's routine, sending them into the long program portion of the pairs competition with a score of 79.64. That was good enough for second place.
