Colombia’s Lady Andrade banned two matches for hitting Abby Wambach

Lady Andrade, the Colombia striker who "sucker-punched" Abby Wambach during the U.S.'s 3-0 win on Saturday (gif of the incident here), has been suspended two matches by FIFA, which could bring an end to her participation in the London Olympics.

From the AP:

FIFA says its disciplinary committee suspended Andrade for a group match against France on Tuesday, and for the quarterfinals if Colombia advances.

Colombia currently sits in last place of Group G with two loses, no goals scored and a slim chance of advancing to the knockout rounds. After the match against the U.S., Andrade asserted that the hit was "an accident" and "a normal part of the game" while Wambach called it a "sucker-punch." The U.S. brought the matter to FIFA's attention, prompting the investigation.
