Biathlon win comes down to a photo

A heck of a finish, indeed! The grueling men's 15-kilometer biathlon mass-start came down to a photo finish between Emil Hegle Svendsen of Norway and Martin Fourcade France. Nearing the finish line, Svendsen began to raise his arms at the finish line, perhaps celebrating a hair too early, as Fourcade stuck out his ski to tie up the first-place finish, nearly taking gold by a fraction of a boot. (Watch the finish here.)
The two men came in at identical times of 42:29.1. Ultimately, the judges determined the final ruling with a photo finish, which showed that Svendsen justbarely won the race. Ondrej Moravec of the Czech Republic took home bronze.
Das ist doch nett von Martin Fourcade. Er geht hinter Olympiasieger Emil Hegle Svendsen auf die Knie #Biathlon pic.twitter.com/VQfKwB0tQB
