Watch Avalanche intermission report fall apart after ‘Penis McNab’ reference (Video)

They can tie their ties tightly. They can have hours of industry training. They can count themselves among the NHL’s professional broadcasters. But the moment someone makes an unexpected reference to male genitalia, they quickly morph into giggling high school boys.

Such was the case when Kyle Keefe and Mark Rycroft had a chuckle fit during Altitude Sports' coverage of the Colorado Avalanche vs. the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night, after Keefe accidentally referred to Avs analyst Peter McNab as – wait for it – “Penis”:

That extended for an impressive length. The anatomical giggle fit, we mean.

If you were wondering when the NHL would have a phallic faux pas to rival the now-infamous Cleveland Browns call-in show guffawing (NSFW), wonder no more.

We’re obviously relieved this happened during a lockout-shortened season with intra-conference schedules. Because if the Avalanche had been playing the Winnipeg Jets, the boys may have never recovered if this man hit the highlight reel following a 'Penis' McNab reference.
