Ryan Johansen and Seth Jones bumped into each other at Port Columbus  airport Wednesday night as the two players traveled to join their new teams.

On Wednesday, the Nashville Predators traded Jones to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Johansen. Johansen posted a photo of the two players on Instagram.

According Jones per Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch, the two talked, "just about the organizations" and their new cities.

Both the 21-year-old Jones and 23-year-old Johansen know each other. Last summer Jones was asked to play in Johansen’s golf tournament.

“He's been a good friend to me and he's going to be a big boost to the Columbus Blue Jackets,” Johansen said in a Wednesday conference call.

According to Portzline, Jones offered his Nashville apartment to Johansen and the big center said yes. Johansen couldn’t do the same with Jones because Johansen had a roommate.

The two players also played their major junior hockey with the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks, though not at the same time. Johansen is expected to make his Predators debut Friday at the Colorado Avalanche. The Blue Jackets play at the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday.
