Here are your Puck Previews: Spotlighting the key games in NHL action, news and views as well as general frivolity. Make sure to stop back here for the nightly Three Stars when the games are finished.
Preview: Anaheim Ducks at Detroit Red Wings, 7:30 p.m. EST. The Ducks have already lost in Detroit this season, and they're now an astoundingly bad 3-22-3 with three ties at the Joe; and with a 1-3 mark in the playoff loss to the Wings last postseason, too. Mike Babcock wants his players to use economically depressed Detroit as motivation to keep fighting through adversity. The OC Register did their Top 10 Ducks of the last decade and somehow Bobby Ryan(notes) was one of them for his 87 games in the NHL before 2009-10.
Preview: Florida Panthers at New Jersey Devils, 7 p.m. EST. Marty Brodeur battles his injury replacement last season, Scott Clemmensen(notes), in the hopes of breaking the all-time shutout record. Does Clemmer have intel on the Devils? "You try to buckle down on them when they shoot on you, because you don't want to let them score. Here, it's the whole team. That's the weird part about it. Every single one that's shooting on me is a friend of mine."
Preview: Chicago Blackhawks at Buffalo Sabres, 7:30 p.m. EST. Sabres Coach Lindy Ruff decides things like "conference foes" and "the playoff picture" and "intra-state rivalry" are more important than what non-Buffalo fans want to see; hence, it's Patrick Lalime(notes) against the Blackhawks with Ryan Miller(notes) likely against the New York Rangers on Saturday night. We expect a big effort from Chicago in this game, but no one in Buffalo should ever be shortchanged -- as Patrick Kane(notes) can confirm ... Watch The Game Live Via Hockey Night on Y!
Preview: Dallas Stars at San Jose Sharks, 10 p.m. EST. A collision with Dany Heatley(notes) in Wednesday night's game injured Douglas Murray(notes) and will keep him out tonight; cue Ottawa media calling Heatley a training room cancer. Defending Big D has a sprawling two part roundtable breakdown of the Stars' season; is any key player on this roster tradable?

• Remember: End of Decade fun continues this Saturday here on Puck Daddy. Thanks for another great week.
• Interesting post on the concussion epidemic and how guys getting pounded in the head with fists is the answer for it. [Hockey Wilderness]
• Willie Mitchell(notes) and Ryan Kesler(notes) trade F-bombs, nearly come to blows in Vancouver Canucks practice. Sounds like someone's "I guarantee a U.S. medal" finally made its way to the West Coast ... [Province]
Puck Buddy Comment of the Day: That would be "samtheman122" commenting on the Sharks-related contest entry from earlier in the day --
I know this is a Sharks themed float, but It's still a shame to go to all the trouble of photoshopping this together and not put Ovechkin's head on one of the caveman bodies.
A joke so easy even a caveman could make it.
