Five things to know about tonight's NHL games ...

1. No Tyler Myers for Sabres. The lanky defenseman left Monday's game early and according to head coach Ted Nolan, it doesn't look good for Myers tonight.

2. Dan Bylsma will keep an eye on Miller. Team USA's head coach said that a bad performance tonight won't sway his decision in who the no. 1 goaltender will be at the Olympics. "[H]is body of work is a lot more than just in what happens in this game tonight," Bylsma said.

3. NHL's best meet up. Via STATS Inc. and the Ducks, "The last NHL game played between two NHL clubs with a combined points/win % over .720 (after 58 games or more) was on Feb. 25, 2009, when Detroit hosted San Jose."

4. Tyler Seguin was almost a Sabre. The Stars won the apparent derby for Seguin over the summer, but there was a chance he could have ended up in Buffalo. The Buffalo News reported that the Sabres and Bruins talked about a package that included Seguin and Thomas Vanek.

5. How will you celebrate Joe Pavelski Day? The good people of Plover, Wisconsin will celebrate Paveski on Friday by scoring clutch goals and being proud Americans.

Bold prediction: Blackhawks once again get the best of the Ducks. Put us down for a 2-goal night from Patrick Kane.
