Patrick Kane had the best-selling NHL jersey of 2014

Patrick Kane couldn’t defeat Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews in Sochi. But he’s taken them down in a significantly less important competition: Best-selling NHL jersey of 2014!
The NHL announced on Monday that more Patrick Kane sweaters moved through NHL Shop than any other player last year.
The Top 10 in jersey sales:
Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks
Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins
Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks
Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers
Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals
Evgeni Malkin, Pittsburgh Penguins
Claude Giroux, Philadelphia Flyers
Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins
Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings
Anze Kopitar, Los Angeles Kings
Probably no coincidence that the Blackhawks, Rangers, Penguins, Capitals and Kings all had new sweater designs in 2014 through outdoor game participation or, in the Penguins’ case, third jerseys, too.
Kane and Lundqvist moved up four spots each from 2013’s ranking. Malkin moved up three spots. Anze Kopitar made the biggest move, jumping up eight spots from 2013. Obviously Team Slovenia afterglow!
Here’s the 2013 list. Leaving the ranking were Ryan Callahan, Milan Lucic, Zdeno Chara and Joe Thornton.
Once again, were left wondering why people don’t want to rock those sweet Tampa Bay Lightning Stamkos jerseys.
Now, we eagerly count down the days until the 2015 best-sellers list, when we're sure the Latvia push will move Zemgus Girgensons to the top. Because he's not just good, he's Zemgus Good.
