Patrick Kane’s late game heroics goal push Blackhawks’ incredible streak to 22 (VIDEO)

Puck Daddy

The Chicago Blackhawks pushed their run of games without a regulation loss to 22 on Sunday, edging the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 in a shootout. Have we mentioned these guys are incredible?

But it almost didn't happen. The Red Wings made it 1-0 early in the third period, and it appeared that would be the final score when the game neared the two-minute warning. but then Patrick Kane happened:

Pouncing on a loose puck at the side of the Red Wings' goal, Kane possessed the puck and dispossessing Detroit of the lead in a heartbeat, tying the game up at 17:58 of the third. It was a beauty of a shot, too. How many guys can roof it like that from in close?

But Kane wasn't content to simply steal one point from the Red Wings. This is Kane we're talking about. He does things to excess. And he wanted the full two. Thus, he took it upon himself to score the lone goal in the shootout.

It was another beauty, as he drifted in slow, as he often does, stickhandling Jimmy Howard to dust before putting the puck away.

That Kane kid, he's pretty good. The Blackhawks should keep him.

With the win, the Blackhawks move to an absurd 19-0-3.
