No. 1 Star: Marian Hossa, Chicago Blackhawks

The veteran sniper stole the puck from Clayton Stoner of the Minnesota Wild and fired it past Niklas Backstrom for the lone, unassisted goal in a 1-0 win for the Blackhawks. Ray Emery made 20 saves for the shutout.

No. 2 Star: Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets

Bob turned around the Jackets’ fortunes with a 30-save shutout, as they defeated the San Jose Sharks, 4-0. Marian Gaborik had a goal and an assist.

No. 3 Star: Alex Steen, St. Louis Blues

Steen snapped a six-game goal-less streak and helped give goalie Brian Elliott a happy birthday, as his second-period goal ended up being the game-winner. The Blues defeated the Nashville Predators, 1-0, as Elliott made 15 saves.

Honorable mention: Pascal Dupuis had a goal and two assists and Evgeni Malkin scored the winning goal in the Penguins’ 5-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. … The New York Islanders scored four straight goals to rally and beat the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-1, solidifying their playoff position.
