Lokomotiv's Cinderella run in the KHL playoffs has come to an end after a 3-2 loss to Lev Thursday in the Western Conference Final. After knocking off the no. 1 and no. 2 seeds, they fell into a 3-0 series hole and couldn't recover.

In Game 5 Thursday, Lev built up a 3-1 lead in the second period and Lokomotiv's comeback attempt began and ended with an amazing goal from Geoff Platt:

That's the kind of hand-eye coordination every third and fourth liner dreams of. Unfortunately, it would be Lokomotiv's final of the season, but a fitting way to go out considering their dramatic run to the conference final.

Lev, the first non-Russian finalst, faces Metallurg Magnitogorsk or Salavat Yulaev in the Gagarin Cup. Metallurg currently hold a 3-1 series lead with Game 5 coming on Friday.
