LA Kings fans can cut lines at LAX during playoffs

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 04: Actress Jessica Szohr poses with a custom-designed Delta Zamboni at the Los Angeles Kings pre-game fan rally. We’ve all been there: Standing, waiting at the airport gate. Watching the privileged few with spiffy first-class seats or gold-member status board the plane while you stand there with your suitcase and one personal item, hoping there’s space left in the overheads.

Guess who doesn’t have to suffer through this at Los Angeles International Airport for the foreseeable future? Los Angeles Kings fans, as long as they’re rocking Kings gear at a Delta Air Lines gate.

Delta, the official airline of the Kings, will provide priority boarding to any fan that shows up at the gate wearing Kings gear at LAX. That’s any Delta flight leaving the airport – not just the ones headed to San Jose or wherever the Kings would conceivably play next in a playoff run.

So throw on that Drew Doughty jersey or that black hat and travel with privilege. At least with Delta. We suggest you don't try this at, like, United. And especially not at TSA. 'I don't need a security screening, I'm a Kings fan!' will definitely get you cavity searched.

Oh, and we asked if the offer extended to Anaheim Ducks fans at LAX and it does … provided they’re wearing LA Kings gear. D’oh!
