Keith Yandle of the Phoenix Coyotes, meanwhile, had a personal statement to make about the tragedy:
When Yandle’s Coyotes hosted the San Jose Sharks on Monday, the defenseman taking the ice with “pray for Boston” written on his skate and on his glove.
Yandle is a native of Milton, Mass., and has had rumored interest in playing for the Bruins one day.
As for the NHL, deputy commissioner Bill Daly said the League is increasing security at games in the wake of the attack, according to QMI:
“We have coordinated with all of the buildings in which NHL games are being played and appropriate steps are being taken to ensure the buildings are secure and safe,” wrote Daly.
Fans should probably plan to arrive a little earlier for games in case additional security measures increase the time it takes to enter NHL rinks.
The Boston Bruins postponed their game against the Ottawa Senators on Monday due to safety concerns.
