Ken Daneyko, by all accounts, is a supremely nice guy who has battled some demons through the years, but he's in a bit of legal trouble in Essex County, NJ. According to the Newark Star-Ledger, a judge has ordered the arrests of the former New Jersey Devils defenseman as well as former New York Giants center Bart Oates for "their repeated failure to show up for depositions in a real estate lawsuit." The paper reports that they missed four scheduled depositions relating to a case they lost; one that mandated they repay half of a $300,000 real-estate loan. "I would like these guys who were heroes in the sports world to make good on their word and step up to the plate in this case," said attorney Bruce Nagel of Roseland. Reaction from the Devils fans at NJDevs.com is filtering in. Full disclosure: We are the proud owners of a Ken Daneyko bobblehead doll that sadly looks nothing at all like Ken Daneyko because it has all of its teeth.
