In the first period of the Florida Panthers game against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, 43-year-old forward Jaromir Jagr took a stick to the face and dropped to the ice in a small pool of blood.

Jagr was going for a loose puck in front of the Ottawa Senators net and was clipped by Ottawa forward Alex Chiasson. The 43-year-old Jagr, who scored his 732nd goal Sunday, fell to the ice. After he got up, he tapped Chiasson on the helmet.

The legendary Jagr quickly came back to the cheers of fans at Florida’s BB&T Center. He notched an assist and played 22:02.

He later joked about the issue on Twitter.

Jagr leads the Panthers with 25 points in 32 games played. His 732nd score moved him into fourth place on the NHL’s all-time scoring list. Florida has won 11 of their last 14 games played and are just one point behind the Montreal Canadiens for first place in the Atlantic Division. Jagr turns 44 on Feb. 15, 2016.
