Hockey Hugs: Creepy staring kid; Jonathan Huberdeau has a moment

Hockey Hugs is a feature that celebrates the best in hugging from around the sport of hockey, because who doesn't love a good hug now and then? Have you seen a particularly good hug photo lately? Send it to puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com or Tweet it to @HarrisonMooney.

It's been nearly a month since we last checked in with the huggiest players in all of sport. What have they been up to?

Why, they've been busy. Busy hugging each other, as is their modus operandi. These guys are hug veterans.

Well, except for, say, Paul Bissonnette. Most of the time he's that close to another player, he's struggling to get an arm free to he can punch the guy. The post-goal hug isn't overly familiar to him, so you can see why he has that look of uncertainty. Maybe even a hint of panic. It's okay, Biz -- you're doing it right. Commit to the hug. You won't regret it.

Neither will you, dear reader. Embrace hockey's embraces and your heart will be filled with cheer.

Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris share what they believe to be a private moment. Little do they know that kid at the glass sees everything. And he likes what he sees.

"Dude. There's some creepy kid at the glass. I'm gonna wave at him. Hi kid. Hi. Sit down, you're freaking me out."

Meanwhile, Scottie Upshall takes offence to everyone watching him hug Jesse Winchester.

"Stop staring at me! Look away!"

No. 4, Washington Capitals

Marcus Johansson is beckoned to what must be a pretty spectacular hug.

"Marcus! You've gotta get in on this! We're all just hugging and crying. Letting out your emotions feels fantastic. Do it. You gotta do it."

Bobby Ryan is really into Canadian politics.

"Whoa. WHOA. WHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA that's Kitchener-Waterloo Conservative MP Peter Braid! Oh my god oh my god oh my god"

No. 2, Carolina Hurricanes

Kirk Muller's biggest frustration: ever since that night where the moon didn't rise, every time he sends the Jordan Staal line onto the ice, they huddle in the corner and just hiss menacingly for their entire shift.

"Hiss"

"Hissssss"

"Hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss"

Lots of intense celebrations faces in this week's hugs, but nothing tops the look of pure ecstasy on Jonathan Huberdeau's face here, especially juxtaposed with his two teammates, who are much, much less into it.

*ecstatic moaning*

"Gross. I'm leaving."
