No. 1 star: Jussi Jokinen(notes), Carolina Hurricanes

Jokinen was the main man in Carolina's 7-2 rout of the Florida Panthers with a goal and two assists. He would later assist on goals by Rod Brind'Amour(notes) and Jay Harrison(notes), both coming 19 second apart in the third period.

No. 2 star: Alex Auld(notes), Dallas Stars

Giving struggling Marty Turco(notes) a breather, Auld made his Stars debut in memorable fashion knocking off the undefeated Calgary Flames 5-2. The win was Dallas' first of the season. Auld set the tone early in the first period when he denied Dustin Boyd(notes) on multiple chances in front of net.

No. 3 star: Cam Ward(notes), Carolina Hurricanes

After allowing six goals in Carolina's first two games, Ward has now posted back-to-back solid performances for the Canes, allowing just three goals on 57 shots in his last two starts.
