• The NHL and NHLPA met today in Toronto with the players presenting their proposal to the league. Said Donald Fehr on Monday, "What we expect to do [Tuesday] is to put forth an alternative view as to what we should do next. That's the best way I can put it." [CBC]

• NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on today's meetings: "It's clear to me (the NHLPA) didn't put (the proposal) together in an hour or two." Well, yeah, we did wait a month. [TSN]
