Auston Matthews completely destroyed a water bottle with a blast of a wrist shot during a game with the ZSC Lions (Zurich) of the Swiss league.

Above is a video of the play where Mathews, the presumptive No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, is playing HC Fribourg-Gotteron. Matthews, who is from Scottsdale, Arizona has 20 points in 19 games played this year.

Since the 18-year-old Matthews is playing overseas in his draft year, it’s hard for hockey fans in North America to see him in more than just highlight clips. But he's looked good in many of them.

How good is Matthews? TSN’s Craig Button rated him quite highly recently.

Auston Matthews just missed the 2015 draft – he was born Sept. 17, 1997, two days after the cut-off date - and there is no question that if he were eligible, he would have been in the conversation with Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel.

The Carolina Hurricanes, Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets each have the fewest amount of points in the NHL at 24, which would give them the highest likelihood to land Matthews in the 2016 NHL Draft. The Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames each have 25 points.
