Hurns had to lay out for a diving touchdown catch from 31 yards out to end a run of 21 straight points by the Bills and an almost stunning collapse for the score that would give the Jaguars a 34-31 victory.
It was a wild game deserving of a wild finish, and Hurns' fine play helps put a sheen on a mistake-filled ballgame. It was his first catch in the game since the third quarter, and it helped Blake Bortles rebound from a shaky second-half performance.
This one might not go in the Jaguars' all-time touchdown ledger, but Hurns helped head coach Gus Bradley breathe a huge sigh of relief in what could have been an epic meltdown.
