Vikings get more bad news as Kyle Rudolph is out at least a month

Even touchdowns can be bad things for the Minnesota Vikings these days. That's when you know it's a tough season.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph scored a 31-yard touchdown Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys but injured his foot on the play, and the team announced he will be out at least a month.

Rudolph leads the Vikings in touchdown receptions (three), is second on the team in catches with 30 and ranks third in receiving yardage with 313.

The Vikings might be down to two healthy tight ends for Thursday's game, depending on the status of Rhett Ellison, who missed Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. In addition to John Carlson, the Vikings have Chase Ford, who assisted this brilliant Adrian Peterson touchdown run Sunday but who has yet to catch a pass this season.
