1. Interception, with an assist
New England Patriots defensive back Marquice Cole gets credit for the pick, but no way it happens without the help of teammate Devin McCourty. Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw an errant pass toward the sideline that looked like it had no chance of being caught by anyone. But McCourty came from his safety position, tapped the ball back to Cole, who kept his feet in and made the improbable pick.
2. DeAngelo’s pick-six
In a flash, the Denver Broncos went from tied at 7-7 to down 21-7 to the Washington Redskins. After the Redskins scored on offense, cornerback DeAngelo Hall added one on defense, stepping in front of the Peyton Manning pass, picking it off and running it back to silence the stunned Denver crowd. The Broncos would come back and win, but not before Hall later added another athletic interception.
3. Bryant’s beauty
Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys were just a notch below Calvin Johnson and the Detroit Lions, but that didn’t mean that Bryant didn’t flash his exceptional ability. Witness this ridiculous catch with rookie corner Darius Slay in his face, and safety help over the top. Bryant hauled in the catch, but will he dial down the sideline antics?
4. Pryor’s mad dash
The Oakland Raiders might only have gained 279 yards in their 21-18 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but 93 of them came right off the bat. Backed up to his own 7-yard line, Raiders quarterback ran a QB-record 93 yards for the score as no Steeler came close to tracking him down once he broke through the first level of the defense.
5. Browns flea flicker
The Cleveland Browns had a tough task: Using their third starting quarterback of the season, they were trying to beat the Kansas City Chiefs and their top-ranked scoring defense on the road. Give Campbell and the Browns credit, as they pulled out all the stops, including this flea-flicker score from Campbell to Josh Gordon for the long score.
