Things were going pretty well for the Tennessee Titans. They were 2-1 on the season, leading the Jets early in the third quarter, and quarterback Jake Locker was playing pretty good ball.
Then Locker was on the ground writhing in pain and the cart was riding out to get him.
Locker threw a pass and was hit by Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson. The hit seemed to come a little bit late but no flag was thrown (it will be interesting if the NFL hands down a fine for it). That hit didn't hurt Locker. When Locker was falling back, he got hit on the other side by New York's Quinton Coples. Locker's leg was caught in the turf at an odd angle when he went down from Coples' hit, and he immediately grabbed at his right hip area. Ryan Fitzpatrick, the former Bills starter, came into the game.
Locker gave a thumbs up as he was immediately put on the cart and taken off, but it sure looked bad for the promising Titans and their quarterback.
