Zach Curley is going to get married in May, and he felt compelled to mail three "VIP" wedding invitations (everyone else receives their invites in two weeks).

The recipients were Mickey and Minnie at Disney World, the Obamas, and Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. Obviously, the couple had plenty of leftover invitations or not enough friends.

Mickey and Minnie have not responded (they do not talk much in person), the Obamas are probably busy, but Griffin actually responded in five days, according to The Washington Post.

Griffin checked off the "Sadly Declines" box, but wrote, "Happy For You!!!!" on the response card. He included his autograph at the bottom of the RSVP card, plus an autographed trading card.

“Shocked,” Curley told The Washington Post when asked for his reaction. “Just that somebody as big as RGIII would take the time, right away, to write something back — I thought that was really cool. Obviously I’ll be a Redskins fan all my life, but he will be my favorite player from now on, until the end of time.”

Curley said he publicized Griffin’s response because of the negative attention the quarterback received last season. Overall, it was a nice gesture by Griffin, who turned down a chance to perform the Cupid Shuffle for his fan.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was invited to a fan’s wedding last year, but he politely declined. Manning autographed the invitation, too. No, he did not send a gift.

For the sake Curley’s future wife, let’s hope he did not mail honeymoon invitations.
