Report: Plaxico Burress’ pitbull attacked neighbor, interfered with her social life

TMZ is reporting that the neighbor of former NFL receiver Plaxico Burress is claiming she was violently attacked by his pitbull earlier this year.

According to the report, Gina Stasinos and her husband filed a lawsuit against Burress, claiming the dog got loose and attacked her as she was walking near his Totowa, N.J. home in May. Stasinos claims she suffered serious injuries to her head, body, and limbs and that she suffered severe pain and mental anguish

Stasinos is suing for unspecified damages to help pay for her extensive medical bills.

In addition, her husband is named on the suit, and he's claiming that the attack caused him to miss out on the "services" and "companionship" of his wife.

TMZ reports that calls to Burress' lawyer were not returned.

Burress last played in the NFL last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was suspended following an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound at a New York City nightclub and later was released by the Giants after a two-year stint in prison for criminal possession of a weapon. Burress signed with the New York Jets in 2011, before joining the Steelers the next season.
