If coaching decisions were based on public opinion, icing the kicker would never be utilized again. During Sunday's divisional round playoff loss to the Falcons, Pete Carroll's failed usage of his final timeout was one more argument against icing the kicker. Mike Florio reasons that no coach has ever been criticized for not icing the kicker, but when it goes wrong, all blame is heaped on the coach.
