In fact, they'd like to show you all sides of Michael Vick(notes). Playgirl magazine, self-described as "the primary source for hot nude men," is making an effort to get Michael Vick in their magazine. From IMDB:
The embattled American footballer, who was arrested for animal abuse and promoting dogfighting in 2007, has been invited to pose for Playgirl in return for a $1 million (£625,000) donation to animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
A spokesman for Playgirl confirms to Life & Style magazine, "I sent the request to Michael Vick on Wednesday, but we haven’t heard back yet.
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a response. Vick's done about as well as could be expected in rehabbing his image so far, and I doubt that Playgirl figures into the plans to continue on that path. I doubt that his PR advisors drew up any plan that reads, "1) Apologize, 2) Maintain good behavior off the field, 3) Expose your genitalia."
No, I'm pretty sure that low-profile is the way Vick wants to keep things right now. Appearing in a state of undress opposite Mr. October, Dwayne Zachamore, is probably not the way to accomplish that.
Now, I make no moral judgments about posing nude. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, and I'd like to leave my options open for Playgirl's "pasty blogger" edition. I feel pretty confident in in saying, though, that it's not the right move for Michael Vick to make right now.
