Peyton Manning, Bill Belichick practicing together at Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf event

There has been an AFC championship reunion in Pebble Beach, Calif.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who went head-to-head for the right to go to the Super Bowl, are now on the links together in a practice round for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament.

Doubtful either guy is too happy, even playing one of the world's most revered courses. Manning, an 11th-hour addition to the field, was torched on Sunday in Super Bowl XLVIII by the Seattle Seahawks, and Belichick couldn't beat Manning, one of his arch-rivals, before that for a chance to get torched by the Seahawks.

No sign of him in this picture, but Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is also at the event and will be in the same foursome as his coach when the event kicks off officially.

You just know that these guys all badly want to beat each other. In football, golf, darts in the hotel bar afterward ...
