Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush may have led his fantasy football owners to the playoffs, but anyone who did not bench him is probably upset on Sunday.

Bush missed two days of practice and was limited on Friday. He was expected to be a game-time decision against the Philadelphia Eagles. Unfortunately, a freak accident adversely affected that decision.

According to, Bush aggravated his calf prior after he slipped in the snow prior to Sunday’s game.

Bush’s injury is a blow to the Lions – and his fantasy football owners. Detroit is in the midst of a playoff race and need Bush to lockup the NFC North. The Lions are using backup Joique Bell in Bush’s absence, but he fumbled twice in the first half.

Meanwhile, some fantasy football owners are without a high draft pick in the first round of the playoffs, or final week of the regular season. The loss of Bush definitely hurt owners who did not change their lineup before the game started. And their wrath should be enough to melt that snow in Philadelphia.
