Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is not known for throwing interceptions. And he's certainly not knowing for throwing them with a closed fist.
Check out this odd-looking interception that happened when Indianapolis Colts defensive end Robert Mathis whipped Chiefs tackle Eric Fisher around the edge, pressured Smith and knocked the ball loose.
Smith was in the middle of his throwing motion, and somehow the ball hit his hand — like a volleyball serve maybe? — and into the hands of an awaiting Colts defender's hands for a strange-looking interception.
