Jaguars linebacker gets helmet ripped off, still runs downfield to make tackle without it

In this age of concussion awareness, it's probably not the best idea to run downfield on a punt and make a tackle without a helmet.

But, as Jaguars linebacker LaRoy Reynolds can attest, sometimes adrenaline takes over.

Reynolds had his helmet ripped off early in his punt coverage duties against Indianapolis. Did he stop? Heck no.

Reynolds sprinted about 30 yards downfield without his helmet, then found his way through the blockers and made a nice tackle to stop the Colts' return cold. It was a pretty nice form tackle too, all without headgear.

While that play won't be highlighted in any safety videos, it was still a heck of an effort by Reynolds, who will get credit for one of the most unusual tackles of the season.
