DENVER – Baltimore Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones was minding his business, ready to field a punt, when Brynden Trawick absolutely drilled him.
The problem being, of course, that Trawick is on the same team as Jones.
The Ravens' receiver and Super Bowl hero sprained his knee when Trawick plowed into him. Jones had his head up after calling for a fair catch, and had absolutely no idea he was going to get hit, much less by his own teammate.
Jones went to the locker room, and his return to the game was termed doubtful.
Trawick is a rookie making his NFL debut on Thursday night against the Broncos. Knocking a valuable teammate out of the game with a knee injury is not really the memory you want to take from your pro debut.
