Who are these guys? Raiders score record 59 points in Denver rout

Halloween is still a week away, but members of the Oakland Raiders celebrated early by dressing up like good football players on Sunday.

The Raiders scored an NFL season-high 59 points against the Denver Broncos, their long-time AFC West rival. It was a stunning offensive display by a team that has been a laughingstock since playing in the Super Bowl in 2003.

Running back Darren McFadden(notes) was the star of the afternoon, totaling 196 yards of offense and scoring four touchdowns:

The 59 points were the most scored in the 50-year history of the franchise. That's impressive enough, but when you factor in how inept the Raiders offense has been over the past seven years, it's absolutely remarkable. Last season, Oakland scored a total of 55 points over a two-month stretch from Sept. 21 to Nov. 21 (seven games). In three hours on Sunday, they scored four more points than that.
