If you spend a lot of time reading sports blogs, the odds are pretty good that in high school, you either knew or were, for lack of a better term ... kind of a dork.
I think that's why I've begun to find Eli so endearing over the past couple of weeks. Once upon a time, I wished great physical harm upon him and his father, but now, I can't help but like the little doofus. His win in Super Bowl XLII is a win for socially-awkward doofuses everywhere. God bless him.
And, as he demonstrated on Letterman last night, being a Super Bowl MVP has not strayed him a bit from his dork roots.
