Eagles running back LeSean McCoy stands by his dislike of Knowshon Moreno

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy opened up his press conference on this past Wednesday with an unsolicited compliment.

“I just want to say, I think Doug Martin is a heck of a running back,” McCoy told reporters (c/o the team’s official website). "He’s one of the better backs in the NFL for sure."

Philadelphia will play against the Tampa Bay this weekend, which explains McCoy's reference to the Bucs running back.

However, when given the opportunity to clear up his views about Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno, McCoy still thinks he sucks.

“I don’t want to talk about the past,” McCoy told reporters. “It is what it is. But what I said is what I meant.”

Does McCoy regret what he said?

“No. I don’t regret it,” McCoy said.

Well, so much for backpedaling.

McCoy voiced his disdain for Moreno this past Sunday, although it is unclear why the Eagles running back has issues with his new enemy.

Of course, Moreno responded.

McCoy was asked if coach Chip Kelly spoke with him about the Tweet and said, “The only thing Coach said to me was stay focused on the next game. That’s what really matters. We’ve got Tampa. It’s a big game for us to win. So that’s what I’m really worried about.”

McCoy definitely is not worried about apologizing, that is for sure.
